Sweet Potato Kheer How to prepare?
Sweet Potato Kheer Ingredients
1 cup grated Sweet potato, Peeled and grated
2 cups Milk
3 tbsp Sugar
2 tbsp ghee
Chopped cashews and almonds for garnishing
¼ tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)
2-3 Saffron strands
Sweet Potato Kheer Method
Wash, peel and grate sweet potatoes.
Heat ghee in a pan, Roast the cashews and almonds in ghee. Fry till little brown and remove them in bowl and set aside.
To same ghee add grated sweet potato and fry for 2-3 minutes.
Then add milk and let it boil on low flame for about 10 minutes until the milk thickens. Stirring constantly.
Add sugar and cook for 3-4 minutes on low flame.
Add cardamom powder and mix well.
Garnish with roasted nuts.
Serve hot or cold.
Adjust the quantity of sugar as needed.
You can keep in refrigerator and serve chilled.
